LMS CHILDREN’S HOUSE – A STEPPING STONE TO THE FUTURE

The Children’s House Program is designed for children ages 3-6 years old. Each class has 2 adults, a Montessori-certified lead guide and an assistant.
In a Children’s House classroom, children work at their own pace within a meticulously-prepared environment and with the nurturing guidance of the teachers. The multi-age setting provides opportunities for children to learn from and with each other. Social skills and a sense of community are natural outgrowths of this multi-age setting. Fully accessible Montessori materials promote hands-on exploration, discovery, and mastery and are focused in 5 areas: practical life, sensorial, language arts, math and cultural (science, geography, art, and music).
LMS health profile can be seen in our commitment to daily active outdoor play and activities.
A part of our health profile, we have “from ground to table program”, where children will have a space in our garden to plant and grow some crops for food and a place to take care of some farm animals too.
